This is a slab built obtuse stoneware handled vessel by the late John Maltby (1936-2020) circa 1990. Maltby has decorated this pot with a slip trailed ship motif on one side and black slip with blue and red splashes on the reverse. The pot has ‘Maltby’ signed on the base.
