This is a slab built salt-glazed rocking pillow pot by Ruth King. Once Ruth constructed this pot she then sprayed the vessel with a slip onto the stoneware clay before first bisque firing it in an electric kiln, then firing it in her gas kiln where she adds the salt at the height of the firing. Ruth is pictured holding the pot that she has stamped and signed on the base.
