This is a slip-cast vessel by Lara Scobie decorated with a combination of inlay and sgraffito with bright lemon yellow and black slips. Although unglazed, the high fired parian clay used by Lara is vitrified and able to hold liquids. Lara is pictured holding this vessel that she has signed on the base.
