Balanced bowl (large)

This hand-built and moulded large balanced bowl by Kate Windibank is made from a blend of porcelain and stoneware, creating a surface rich in texture and contrast. Ceramic oxides and a reactive glaze are applied before firing, resulting in a layered, volcanic finish. Kate is pictured holding the finished piece.
