This is a press-moulded and coiled stoneware cylinder by Paul Wearing to which he has applied layers of slips and glazes to create a rich volcanic surface. Paul is pictured holding this pot that he has stamped on the base with his potters mark. In the image of the two vessels, this is the smaller one on the left.
