Dartmoor jar

This is a thrown stoneware jar by Matthew Blakely. The body is based on Dartmoor China clay and the glaze was produced using rocks Matthew collected from Dartmoor then ground down by hand. The pot was then wood fired. Matthew is pictured holding this jar that he has stamped on the base with his potters mark.
