John Maltby – bird and fish

This is a ceramic and wooden bird and fish sculpture the late John Maltby (1936-2020). Maltby has used a mixture of paint, slips and glaze to decorate this piece. The sculpture has been stamped with his potters mark. The underneath of the plinth has also been signed ‘Maltby 2003’.
