Large celadon plate

This is a large thrown and altered stoneware plate by Margaret Curtis. Margaret has poured porcelain slip then an iron celadon glaze onto the plate. The plate has then been fired in an oil kiln to 1300c giving the body and glaze depth. Margaret is pictured holding this plate that she has stamped on the base with her potters mark.
