Oval stemmed vessel

This is a thrown, altered and assembled red earthenware oval stemmed vessel by Richard Phethean. The pot was decorated with brushed slips and paper resist on the leather hard clay to create the graphic surface motifs, then after bisque firing areas are selectively stained and wax resisted prior to the application of a light honey glaze.
