Oval teapot

This is a thrown, altered and assembled earthenware teapot by Richard Phethean. The teapot was decorated with brushed slips and paper resist on the leather hard clay to create the graphic surface motifs, then after bisque firing areas are selectively stained and wax resisted prior to glazing. Richard is pictured holding this teapot that he has signed on the base.
