Small bowl with curls

This is a small slab built salt-glazed bowl with curls and a silver base by Ruth King. Once Ruth constructed this pot she then sprayed it with a slip onto the stoneware clay before first bisque firing. Ruth then fired it in her gas kiln when she added salt at the height of the firing. Ruth is pictured holding this pot. Jeweller Richard Whitelegg was commissioned by Ruth to add the silver foot.
