This wheel-thrown stoneware plate by ceramicist Daniel Boyle features bird and fish motifs, created using layered applications of slip, ash, and salt glazes. These traditional firing techniques produce a richly textured surface with natural variation, making each piece one of a kind. The plate is finished with Daniel’s stamped potter’s mark on the base, he is also pictured holding this dish. In the image of the two plates, this is the smaller one on the left.
