This is an impressive thrown, altered, cut and assembled stoneware vessel by the late Colin Pearson (1923 – 2007). Made circa 1980, Colin decorated this pot with incised horizontal line and layers of glazes to produce a rich textured surface. Colin stamped this vessel with his potters mark. Colin was a massively influential in contemporary British ceramics who inspired countless people amongst them, two Online Ceramics potters, John Pollex and Richard Phethean.
