Shino jar

This wheel-thrown stoneware jar by Francis Lloyd-Jones has a cut square lid with a loop handle. Finished with a shino glaze and fired in a salt kiln, the pot displays the warm tones and textured surface associated with salt firing. Francis is pictured holding the pot, which bears his impressed potter’s mark on the base.
