Table jug

This wheel-thrown stoneware jar by Francis Lloyd-Jones is coated with black slip on the exterior and salt-fired in the kiln. The firing process gives the pot a textured surface and gentle variation in tone. Francis is pictured holding the jar, which is stamped on the base with his potter’s mark.
